GEM Rods was started in Juneau, Alaska in 1995, though it has its roots as far back as 1977 in Montana. When as a kid, I built a noodle rod because I could not buy one at the time.  That is what I try to do for each person that I build a rod for.  Build one for them that is unique and purpose built for the fish or type of fishing that they are doing.  Also something that they cannot get everywhere or maybe anywhere.
